St. Tammany Fire Protection District 12 will host its 14th Annual “Christmas at the Firehouse” this Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at its headquarters, 19375 Hwy. 36, near Covington.
Free food and drinks from Popeye’s will be available for those in attendance, in addition to firehouse tours, safety demonstrations, and a visit from Santa Claus.
“We encourage residents and business owners in our service district to join us on Saturday to celebrate the holiday season with food and fun at the firehouse,” said Chief Darrell Guilott.

Judge Will Crain will be administered the oath of office as a Judge on the Court of Appeal, First Circuit, on Friday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will take place in the Misdemeanor Court Room on the first floor of the St. Tammany Justice Center in Covington. Crain has presided as a District Judge in the 22nd Judicial Court for St Tammany and Washington Parishes for the last four years.

Available to undergraduate students in Louisiana=s universities at the junior or senior level for students with a declared major in civil engineering. The applicant must be in good standing academically and have a professed interest in the transportation field as a vocation. This interest must be demonstrated in a one page description relating academic choices and career goals.
