Wednesday, September 1, 2010
The St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation’s quarterly luncheon will feature the CEO of Globalstar, one of the newest companies to make its home in St. Tammany.
At the Sept. 20 luncheon at Benedict’s Plantation in Mandeville, Globalstar CEO Peter Dalton and Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Stephen Moret will speak about the process of bringing Globalstar to the Covington area from California and why Globalstar found St. Tammany Parish and Louisiana appealing.
“We were very excited when Globalstar chose to relocate their corporate office to our parish and we’re delighted Mr. Dalton will speak about why St. Tammany was his chosen destination,” said Brenda Reine-Bertus, executive director of the STEDF. “We’re always honored by Secretary Moret’s visits, and look forward to welcoming him to our community.”
The luncheon is being sponsored by Gulf States Real Estate Services.
Registration will begin at 11:30 at Benedict’s, 1144 N. Causeway Blvd., Mandeville. Seating is limited and advance reservations are required. RSVP’s will be accepted through Sept. 15 at 985.809.7874 or via email to stedfinfo@stedf.org. The cost is $35.
