Firefighters from St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District 12 took less than 15 minutes to contain and control a trailer fire in the Tammany Hills area south of Covington last night.

At 7:57 p.m., FD12 units were dispatched to 21014 Lincoln Street after a resident called to report the fire. Homeowner Terry Hutcherson was charging the battery on his 32-foot travel trailer when he noticed flames inside the trailer and called 911.
