New Orleans – Mayoral Candidate John Georges will host a dinner for seniors Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 3pm at the Roosevelt Hotel, 123 Baronne Street.
“Seniors are important stakeholders in our community,” Georges said. “It’s important that we not only recognize and reward them for their contributions in the past, but that we also acknowledge their valuable insights for the next generation.”
At least 450 seniors from across New Orleans will dine with John and share their concerns on issues which affect them.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro this morning endorsed Jay Batt in the race for New Orleans City Council District A.
At a 10 a.m. press conference, Cannizzaro said Batt is a committed partner in public safety and the ongoing battle against crime, and encouraged the voters of Council District A to give Batt their support, as well.
